this dagger is $1650.00 , would anyone think it's worth the money?, the rest is in reasonably decent shape but someone took a grind wheel to the blade. I say the dagger is more like $1400.00, does anyone agree?

Eek The money is in the blade! Doesn't look like $1400 to me.

looks like $500 to me. Blade looks badly sharpened and polished. If the handle, scabbard and cross guards are nice maybe a little bit more but not much. Just my opinion. $1400 is absurd.

Yeah, $500 is more like it in my opinion too!

I agree, the money is in the blade but it would depend on what the rest of the dagger looks like before you could give a personal opinion on what you think it's worth.

... and welcome to the forum sheek123.

It's a shame, that blade is history, I was able to bring back a pitted one a couple of years ago, but that one is just destroyed.

Sheek

That is probably no where near a $1400 dagger. With a blade like that, it is in very poor condition.

It is only worth what you could get if you took it apart and sold the bits. If they in the same shape as the blade, you'd be lucky to get $500.

Save your money !

Two daggers in a few weeks is a pretty good start. Keep looking and you'll find what you want.

Have you considered attending the MAX show this year?

He should have just stayed in cleveland. We didn't have media pervasive enough for him to whine to every day. Wink

Welcome, and you're right about always wanting "one more".
