has anyone else received details of this?

Eek
Sell a genuine SS dagger from silver chain. The dagger was given by Adolf Hitler SS Panzer Division. The handle is made of real ivory Parrierstange of silver. At the bottom you see the hilt "800" and "SS" emblem. The blade is made of 100% damast (damascus) steel manufacturer Eickhorn Solingen. The blade is written "My honor is loyalty," and on the other side "SS Panzer Division Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler". The chain is also made of silver, it is a "800" stamp. On top of the vagina, where the blade is reinfährt an SS symbol. In the middle of the vagina illustration shows an eagle with a swastika on the bottom and below an SS sign.

I think vagina means Scabbard ha ha .

I wonder if anyone will buy it??

Well, it´s an original you can tell, but only because there never has been an original of this "thing" before the 1960s (believed).

Looks like a bit of "overkill" to me. The crossguards appear, at first blush, to be of the proper honor dagger design, The damascus does not have the pattern associated with honor daggers (maidenhair). Even honor daggers used standard grip eagles. I know there were fantasy pieces similar to this with white grips from several decades ago. I believe at least one early reference book depicts one. It seems somebody was trying awfully hard to make this thing look like a "super" honor dagger. Much too garish. Most "high end" edged weapons of the era were somewhat subdued and tasteful in appearance. The Sepp Dietrich presentation sword comes close to being an exception, but even it was tastefully done and not "over the top."

This has the appearance, albeit 30 years younger, of some of the 'prototypes' that the late Barry Smith came up with on a regular basis.

It also has a Hallmark STAMPED onto each link of 800...so this makes it "right as rain"
