Hi

I would like to know what you think of this Franz Steinhoff SS dagger.

Personally I believe the handle is a copy, the hanger is bogus - and I have my doubts about the blade which remind me of the Czech copies.

But I'm sure the experts can tell us more...

Not a SS dagger ... but here´s my Steinhoff SA dagger, which I picked up 1 week ago at the SOS

The corssgraining and 'greyed' out blade color is consistant with other suspect SS i have seen. The fit to crossguards does'nt look very good - unless the blade isnt done up and the wear to the inscription appears to be from having a sharp spine...

It looks like that the lower cross guard is reversed too.

The crossguards may be the only original part....

I see nothing wromg with the SS dagger.Unless the maker is not know to be on SS blades.But why fake that then?.If it is fake they are getting very close.
