Hi Frank,

I saw another of these when we were at Stuttgart 3 weeks back...I personally don't hold much faith in them, don't like the broad cross grain for a start..I'm sure others may give it the thumbs up but not me.
Out of interest how does the rest of the dagger look ?

I have to agree with Jonathan.
This blade looks very strange and it has a weird crossgrain to it.
I wouldn't put much faith into it.

I'm with JONATHAN on this one Spock.

What happened? Did "they" finally run out of the rest of the parts?
These are usually seen well fitted with "minty" grips. Big Grin
IMO, these are current Czech repros. Wink

If Dave want to post a lose-up of his maker mark one will see the differnce in the arm "lines".

Cheers. I was a little suspect of the cross graining as well. I was also wary that the spine line looks not to be perfect and the runner marks are very highly polished making it seem as though they were done in a hurry and not over a period of time. Also suspicious that the dagger was not pictured complete.

i am steering away very fast.

Thanks for the info. we live and learn.

Here's another K&M hilted fake.
They are real good copies. I know of only 3 or perhaps 4 original ones.

Here is what I think is an original. It is the one in TW's book.

From what I hear, these newer blades are very recent. Like this year.

If they're making Moogs, can a 'Jacobs' be far behind??
How sad, makes you just want to strangle those jerks!

Thanks Dave! There's a real one guys. Smile
Without going into very fine details, just note the crossgrain on Dave's compared to the "suspect' blade.
Pat is right on! Wink
