SS DAGGER 1933 MODEL BY THE RARE MAKER ED GEMBRUCH.
Is this type of ss daggers vary rare today ? I have the SS 1936 in my collection and is out looking for a minty S 33 now. The dagger have a fish marked on the blade. 4700 US dollars is the cost . I think its to much ? With vertical hangar  LH 600 |

If the Gembruch is minty with vertical hanger then $4700 is a good price.

I am interested to know more about the 1936 Gembruch. Can you tell us more about it ?
And if you find a very well conditioned Gembruch M 1933 SS dagger, that is a very good price if it is real. Dave |

The crossgrain is "wrong" on that Gembruch. If you compare to a real maker marked one you will find a fine finished blade.
The base of blade in photo 4 it has what appears to be blade imperfections. Also the grip, if real, did not come with that dagger. On original Gembruch's you don't have "grip overlap" and the grip to crossguard fits are excellent. That's what I see. So, $4,500 would be a deal if it were real one. IMO I feel this one is at best a parts piece. Save your money!  -serge- |

I bought this piece before Christmas and it went back the minute I opened the package - total cr+p, only an absolute beginner would be fooled by it after a hands on inspection.

If it was "real", it would have been sold a longgggggggggg time ago.
A near mint SS Gembruch with vertical hanger would easily sell for $ 6000 USD. I have to admit though that I'm extremelly surprised that Stuart would put such a "junk piece" on his web site.   |

As Serge pointed out, that photo in itself is insufficient to allow for comments either way. Would need to see a proper close up of the maker mark.
