Hello, a recent purchase offered with a 3 day inspection item Nbr. 310038542646. I question the RZM logo. Fuzzy feeling on it. Additional pictures sent show tang billett clamp markes filed smooth, old dark patina, tang stamped with "V" not raised "V". Hate to get it shipped only to send it back. comments? Thanks, Pete

PHS,

Welcome to GDC. The pictures are not that good, but I would be wary of that blade based on the etch of the motto and trademark.

That particular trademark does exist on real daggers, but has also been reproduced. I cannot be 100% certain, but when I see a loose blade like that, I would hesitate.

Brad,
(?)

Thank you for the info. Sure is a different world now days not like it was 35 years ago going into a Vets home, opening a foot locker, and having a field day buying known originals. Pete

Dave and RAILGUN,

My point:

Yes, this place does need new members, but come on . . . TWO DAYS before anyone gives this NEW GUY a response on the SS dagger forum? IMO, that's pretty rock-bottom compared to how it used to be here . . .

Sorry if I offended anyone in my attempt to get somebody to stand up and take a quicker notice . . .
