No doubt one of computer "techies" around here, will be able to tell me why when I view a post by Ronald Weinand all of the tabs under his name appear as red Xs inside little white boxes, or in the case of NoBoZoS, all are red Xs except the last one which appears correctly, as a "D"? Is there something I can do to "fix" this problem? It doesn't apply to my viewing enjoyment of other peoples posts but if it can be corrected, I would like to learn how.

Thanks in advance for your assistance. ~ Ian

I had been using IE7 from when it was released up until about 2 weeks ago. All of a sudden, I had no end of problems with pages freezing etc and it got progressively worse. I too, would see that some people's tabs weren't being displayed properly.

I'm now using using Firefox with no problems at all and it does fix that problem with people's tabs.

Houston, I have experienced no problems at all so far and I run a lot of programs. Wherever I used to get red X's and no picture, now there is a picture and I can see stuff I never could for a long while, again.

For example, your avitar and awards are all red X's with Internet Explorer, but with Firefox they are all visible.

Firefox is so much better than Internet Explorer in my opinion. It's faster and offers much more functionality with add-ons. I've only run across a handful of sites that look strange or don't work with Firefox - only then will I use IE.

It is fantastic. I used to use Netscape and that was bad.

One of the nicest features of Firefox is the spell check that comes with it.

I use Firefox for several years now.It is simple, with all the small tools you find useful. In addition, it takes many add-ons as download managers and stuff.Light and reliable.

By the way MRW, I see you use the expression "knock on wood" when you speak of something that could go bad from luck.We use the same expression here in Greece.Any ideas what it means exactly or when it came from? Thanks Smile
