If you are using Windows XP there is a area for reducing photos .I use it with little trouble.Go the computer part of this site and look under resizing ,it's in there.I also have a problem with the resizing tool you mentionedGood Luck

Zorro, when you right click on your picture, do you get the 'edit' option?
If so, click on it, then use the tab on the top of your screen that reads 'image'. Click on that, and a short menu should drop. Click on 'stretch/skew'. A picture your size should be downsized to 25% each way, so change the 100% in both horiz and vert. Click OK, then close the picture. An icon should come uo that asks to save changes, click yes. That should take your picture down to about 60-80kb. It it is still too big, only downsize it to around 90%. But, try this on a picture you do not want first, that or send a copy to your documents for safekeeping before messing around with it, just in case you mess up. I hope this helps. ....tj "Never type faster than your abilaty to comrehend werds" |

Thanks for the info, but I am having problems. I downloaded the Powertoys for XP and all I am seeing is a list of what it can do. I cannot find how to use the options, especially the resizing one. The taskbar is unlocked. Any suggestions? Thanks!
