Gentlemen,

Im trying to find out more information that I have a ring in sight. Could i ask where i might be able to find out more about the former ring bearer apart from the NARA list (which i have no access to) or the Patzwall list / Deutsches Dienststelle or the Bundesarchiv, where other sources could I try?

And who could undertake this type of research? I understand there are some who do it. but anyone who specialised in TK HRs? you may wish to send me a PM. thank you.

Bernie Brule,Ross Kelbaugh,Rob McDivitt and J.P. Moore are the researchers that I know of.

Bernie's book The Key, plus the known Dienstaltersliste might be a helpful resource to get some idea on your own as to who may have been issued a particular honor ring.

or any researcher who's speciality is on the SS or TK HR bearers?

thank you.

After watching you over 3 forums trying to buy a ring and all your questions and B.S? No seller is going to take you seriously. Buy a ring and deal with your decision, if you ever make one.

Your a nightmare buyer, you have the best names in the hobby and if you wish to buy a ring and if its available?. I would sell you nothing after watching you. You are perfectly set up for a bad ring. Grab your 3k and hit Ebay because you are becoming a real a real pain in the but with no money, or you would have your ring.

Hi Dean,

thank you for the information. I greatly appreciate this and will contact the guys mentioned.

As for Johnwraith, we're all trying to learn here and we all have to start somehow. a TK HR ring is not a cheap purchase and I had shortlisted down to 3 rings. I dont understand your problem John. This post is about finding research on the ring bearer.

Mil, we're all still learning in this hobby and I understand you wanting to be sure on the ring that you purchase. When I purchased my TKHR I did my homework and made sure it had a DB COA. These rings do cost mega bucks so it's best to find one in the best condition possible no matter the recipient or whether it's a 30's or 40's vintage ring.
