Any opinions on the engraving of this ring?
it seems that the ring engraving is not crisp and deep or is this OK?
It is a 1938 (before transition) ring.

I would appreciate some advice as to whether the engraving is ok.
thank you gentlemen.

The engraving not being deep wouldn't bother me but where did all the scratches and wear come from on the inside of the ring? Is it just the photo's because of the magnification?
Have you compared the engraving to examples that have been certified by Don Boyle?

this is the ring from WAF..

Please show the behind skull photos.. From that photo it really looks like a professional resize..

Try and get a straight on skull shot..

Notice the worn off runes. Any cause for concern?

Hi Mil, that's normal wear IMO. Don't forget that Himmler told his Officers that the ring must be worn! I like the worn examples much more than those MINT examples hitting the market as of late.

The inside engraving is sometimes hard to photograph. And it IS very fine, especially the late 30's and 40's rings. This ring looks OK to me. PS: The "Himmler" signature is usually a finer line than the rest of the engraving.
