The colors of the German imperial flag are black-white-red, however this ring has black-gold-red . These are the pre WW1 or after WW1 some time !
The goldcolor is realy goldfoil ( with transparent enamel on it ) and is not oxydated white.
The gold color could be used in the meaning of white here....or are there other explainations for this?
