There is a Totenkopfring on the cover of Don Boyle's first ring book. The name is "Brocke 21.6.44". He was a camp guard. Is the upper right corner of the skull discolored darker?

I have learnt much over the years and even take a jewellers loop to militaria fairs along with the intel from here just in case .
