Here I have an old simple German ring with 1000 stamp. For me it is the first time I have seen it.

Benten, even as a blank its a striking masculine ring.. There was some controversy a while back about a silver badge that was marked 1000...
I've never had one in hand. The highest I've seen and handled was a German piece marked 990..
Is the ring on the light side compared to ,lets say one of your 800 rings of comparable size?
That would be an interesting ring to have its content tested!

Gaspare, the ring is heavy , but I think that it is always relative because of the amount of material.

Well the thousand mark means pure silver . That is usual to say the least because pure silver is to soft to mark jewelry. That why they add either copper or something else to give it strength
