I need some help in this ring.
I got it these days from the hands of the son of the first owner:

Willy Hoppmann, born on 02.03.1916 in Bremerhaven/germany

Hoppmann was over the wartime member of "Geschwader Boelcke" - no more informations from his son.

The ring is real good workmanship by a juweler, no mass product, ring silver, plate/emblem in gold, no stamps, sizing seam on the oposite of the plate.
I heard at least two rings in nearly the exact pattern are around.
One with inofficel papers for giving this ring.

Does anybody know such a ring? Has anyone some informations on it/the unit/Mr. Hoppmann?
Please help if you can. Opinions to the ring are welcome too.

A big German dealer a few years ago had a topic here with the same ring.. I believe it even had a hand drawn award doc,,,and something else that had a drawing of the ring..
Other than this ring, and the other shwon here I've only seen one other many years ago..
This is a really rare ring and you have a bunch of research ahead of you but thats the fun part, Maybe a member here will recognize it and remember something about it..
Great catch Odal!,,please keep us posted on any findings....,G.
