This eagle was vet cut off a sleeve of what looks like a green army tunic,not ss black or grey color.Look ok?

The Waffen SS wore the field gray just like Army. Although some collectors have a problem with finding the tropical eagles on the green wool material.

Part of the problem is that there was an abundance of these eagles areound, and the fakers have used this technique to "enhance" and eagle by sewing it onto a blanket, moth eaten pants, etc. Part of the problem is that no period phpotos showing these eagle in use on the wool tunics, and no "known" tunics have showed up with this style eagle.

I myself DO believe that the eagles were used on the green wool on occasion.

Thanks Jerry,I bought this about 10 years ago from a dealer,when I got it I called him questioning it being on green wool.Right off he got a little iritated/impatient and said just send it back.I think I paid about 100.00 for it.The thread does not glow and looks period applied,anyone out there have one on green wool?
