Hello, friend of mine asked me, if this uniform is period. It is not my field of interest, but I think it is good one. Any comment are welcome.

Lukas.

The 2 hole for the belt ramps are typical SS,
but I would like to see close ups of the insignia.

seems to have the lot inside, name, unit and ss stamping . i smell a rat if they added insignia, a few grommets for the hooks would be quite easy. like to see back of collar , may determine if a poor copy or not, cloth does look aged to me though.

Thanks for comments. Sorry, it is not my tunic and I don't have another pictures. But I thought tunic itself is good.

Interesting..the tunic is constructed in more or less Heer fashion though with two belt ramp holes, 3/4 liner (as opposed to full) the stampings for size seem to be in the Heer fashion, and if you can see to the immediate right of the stampings you can just see the remains of the issuing depot stamp. The tunic has also at one point had an M-44 triangular breast eagle on it, and from the looks of it, was partially relined.

You would have to get closeups of the insignia to make comments on.

The SS-BW stamp would have you believe that it was produced at an SS clothing facility.I would have to compare stamps as per originality.

I have seen Heer tunics pressed into service for the SS, but were SS tunics pressed into service for the Heer?

Possibly, then rebadged post war, or the tunic had more than one owner in its life, within different organizations. The tunic itself looks good. The rest? need more pics.

I sense that this tunic was originally manufactured for one org, and re manufactured for wear by another, and then re badged post war.
