Hi guys I have been offered an original SS NCO visor that is missing the chinstrap and insignia. Side buttons are present. The cap has no moth and has the proper tag, sweat diamond with gold sigrunen, RZM SS ink stamp to the underside of the visor. There are a few small tears (nothing serious or overly distracting) to the sweatband. I am looking for anything to complete this cap, chinstrap especially. Can anyone tell me fair market value for such a cap? If I can not obtain the missing insignia and chinstrap I will part ways with it. Thanks for any opinions and help

Just my thoughts about market prices. I would price your cap maybe around $2000, for the missing parts like silver nickel insignias maybe $500-600 and for the chinstrap maybe $150-200 (I guess hard to find with the typical blue L1 stamp). But we know Allg. visors are offered already sometimes up in heaven, I bought my mint unissued EM/NCO much cheaper and it all depense where you buy and there are always chances for everything in the collector world.

Ryan,

Here is a link to an Allg-SS NCO visor cap strap. Unfortunately it has recently been sold but it shows that they are out there.

Thats the one that was on e-bay I assume with the heer insignia on it. Robert is right about the prices on insignia , if you can find them for sale. As for the chinstrap on Bruce Hermans site , He had that strap in storage for many years and he found it and put it on his site. But as to them being out there for sale, I have not seen another loose for sale for as long as I can remember.
Regards,
Kevin

Thanks Robert, Darryl and Kevin. I know that Peter Whammond had two on his site about two years ago. I would be happy with just a matching set of insignia. Yes that was the one Kevin. I purchased it. cheers, Ryan
