Here's one I just saw at a rural antique shop today. I thought hmmmm very questionable but looks dam old, all of a piece and could be early....
Then I thought, but no. Reason: I'd have thought by the time the SS got round to standardizing the silk swaz and stripes, it would have also regulated orders for details like no threads from the circle can go into the swaz, and all swaz angles-n-folds must be "ganz perfect."
Also, it's prob'ly common now for fakers go to the trouble of using authentic looking silk grosgrain.
The 'band is made from heavy-weight, stiffish red cotton.
No tag of label.
Something else that made me very suspicious: the white citcle is plain un-ribbed cotton, and the top and bottom "edge work" of the stripes is different.
Opinions, please.

I agree the stitching on the reverse (form the pics provided) appears to be a stitch which is called a "button hole" type stitch...however.elongated...its a common stitch type.but uncommon for affixing insignia.

I thought so -- too crude even for an "early..." or "non-standard." Thanks!
