Hi Guys,
I finally have my SS Bevo Armband in hand. Ive included some photos for opinions. There are no markings on the Armband. Its of a linen like material etc. and looks similar ot other Ive seen. Looks good to me, what do you think?
Thanks,
Ryan

Hi Stephen, Here are a couple.
And Thanks for the quick response!

The stripes are like the rest, bevo like, I guess. And not seperately.

Here is a close up of a section above the Swaz and one of the same spot on the revese.
Cheers,
Ryan

Interesting, I have never seen a bevo SS armband like that before! Another one to look for!

Hmm. Is that bad? I have only 1 bevo SS and this is it, so nothing to comapre it with. I cant find many others posted on the forum that are clear enough to tell how the stripes are sewn...

No I think that's good. I've seen a lot of Bevo like armbands, but not any SS. I would imagine the stripes were put on at the same time it was made.

The cotton arm band was intended for the brown shirt of what came to be called the Traditionsanzug. Such was worn as a kind of summer uniform 'til the SS was fully kitted out with the black uniform ca. 1935/6 (Mollo). Thereafter, the brown shirt was employed to recall the glory days of the Kampfzeit, a big deal criterion of who really was tough vs. the so-called Maerzgefallenen. Do consult the 1943 Orgbuch and the brown shirt is still described in detail. This Baumwollekampfbinde is an authentic piece and a nice one. One of the very first pieces of Nazi regalia I secured in the 1960s was this kind of woven arm band, but sans the schwarze Striefen. I imagine some of these got stockpiled somehow and never saw the light of day once the geo-strategic situation allowed little time for celebrations of the pre-1933 Nazi heritage. Viel Sammlerglueck.

Jerry and Don,
Gentlemen, thanks so much for the information. Ive had it for a long time as it was one my first SS pieces and I had no idea it was unusual Smile, as I too have only seen the bevo SA or Regular Party type armbands and the multi-piece SS ones. Great information and glad to have your expertise so close at hand.
Thanks again!
