Just find this cap, but any idea if it's a good one or not. What's the correct price for this cap? Perhaps I'll sell it;

Thanks & best regards.

Agree, need more photos of interior details... what I see of the inside in photo #2 does not inspire me.

I'm very inspired ! Nice original and seems unissued A-SS cap, but no RZM SS stamp on the visor.
but we have to see the eale and skull to know if all it's OK Wink

Joking, or guessing without knowing. My operative word here is "imagine". Apparently I am the only one...so far, to "guess" @ a value for Matarese. Now that I've given it more thought...I would now say closer to half that.(if genuine) What appraisal value would "you" give the cap? Regards, Pauli

10k ....

What is the forum worth with such statements? Now we are at 50% off at 5k.

You know what, all is an easy saying when you don't want to buy it anyhow or have anyhow no clue about this item.

5K WITH FAKE INSIGNIA, MOTH PROBLEMS AND A BROKEN SWEAT SHIELD. DREAM ON. I T NEVER FAILS TO AMAZE ME HOW OFTEN BIG NUMBERS ARE THROWN AROUND BY THOSE WHO WOULD NEVER PAY SUCH A PRICE. THE RUSH TO BUY THESE AT CRAZY HIGH PRICES PEAKED AND MANY HATS IN FAR BETTER CONDITION GO UNSOLD THESE DAYS AT THE HIGH END PRICE. THIS IS NOT A RARE PIECE OF HEADGEAR.

Bob,

Totaly agree with you, but always the same story...
The market "needs" SS hats, every body wants SS items, even if they are not very rare, they are not so many on it.

On the other hand, a SA-Wehrmann or a SA "Reich s Auto Zug" side cap is most scarcer, but nobody want it !

Here with an other one, same maker "195", approximately the same condition (less some mothings) with (seems) original skull and eagle => dealer price...

http://web.iwebcenters.com/grenadiermilitaryantiques/item171189.ctlg

On Matarese's cap I would say the chinstrap seems replaced, look at the traces of the prongs of the chinstrap button under the sweatband, seems smaller than the actual used prongs.
The matter of the chinstrap too it's more a "DAF" Festival-Mütze leather varnish finisch chin strap than pressed paper "political" chinstrap.

Only my 2 cts, I could of course be wrong...
