Spencer, look at the online site I posted and you can see the past shows. I will be there at the opening at around 9:30 and stay until about 2 pm today or so. Check with Houston at his table if you come over and he will introduce us. I may go back tomorrow as well. It is always a good show.

Well, the show is over and it was a good one. I got the following from Houston:

A one of a kind bone gripped Red Cross Hewer with frog

Two other Red Cross Frogs

A beautiful Paul Dinger (P+D tang marked) Police officers sword.

A very nice small battle flag

A minty complete RAD hanger marked very well

And a surprise yet to be announced...a one of a kind item (Houston said two were known to be made) that I will post pictures of soon.

From other sellers I got a beautiful Japanese Type 99 Arisaka carbine with aircraft sights (the folding wing type), wire monopod, matching bolt and a correct bayonet with scabbard and frog. Also from this seller (Banzai) I got a DVD with all the past issues of their newsletter for research and a printed and bound index to the DVD.

There was a spectacular Viet-Nam collection for sale by the widow of an Alabama collector who had specialized in MACV-SOG items and he unfortunately passed away 5 months ago. I have never seen a collection of these items in such depth. Parts of it I was able to acquire and will post later as I catalog the patch's and items I bought from her.

Due in part to all the 'Nam stuff I got, and perhaps the best purchase for me was a semi-auto M2 .50 cal MG on a heavy tripod, assembled by John McGuire, a well respected custom builder of these and 1914A4 .30 cal MG's as well. My Marine son, Mike, went to the show with me and these two spent 45 minutes discussing headspacing and various operating characteristics of the .50 and then the 155 Howitzers that Mike's battery uses.

All in all...a great but costly show for me!

Pics to follow later.

Anybody from east Tn going to the show in April and will have a table there? I ask, because I want to go and take a few items but didn't want to carry them around to sell and thought I could use a portion of the table. Ron

I will be there,,, how east is Cleveland to you???

we can share a table, though they are really small tables... tons of money to make, and tons of money to spend...
last show, did $1800.00 friday, left that night, the show before that 2500.00, friday, saturday morning.. of course I then spent several hundred dollars on relics...

Hello
Not sure where Cleveland is, but I am about 60 miles north of Knoxville. I don't have alot of items, actually 2 daggers, 2 set of shoulder boards and some reference books. Not sure how much space that would take up though, probably not much. I don't want admin to take this as a for sale ad, so not sure how much I can say. I also wanted to make sure that it would be a worth while show to atend. Ron

Thanks, but someday I will just a table at a show and sell the collection. Don't really want to carry things around as I know what I want and if I don't sell, then nothing will be lost if I keep them. Ron

SEBASTIEN

It was my first time to this show, and it was awsome. Can't wait for the next show. I was going to shoot some video of the show, and post it online, but i got stuck at my table, and got busy looking for daggers. Hopefully some time you can make over to the states for a show. I shot one photo, and its not a very good one, but you get the idea.
