After a couple of phone calls and emails asking the exact MAX location, I will try to use maps and satellite shots to show everybody where it will be.

First the map.

If you were to walk out of the main entrance of the old Raddison, turn 90 degrees to the left, you will see the new Hall

Last picture. This shows where the entrance is, but the looks have changed. You can also see the loading docks.

Update:

All of the "regular" tables are sold and no more can be ordered from Deb by phone. Some will be available for rent at the door because more tables can maybe be squeezed in or because of cancellations.

Let me explain as it was told to me: They have sold all the tables that they are certain will fit and still leave room for the dining area, MAX office and the place where they have the dealer packages. They hope to be able to fit more in but will not know for sure until the table set up crew gets to work. I suspect that the first time in any hall yield surprises as concerns access, fire codes, etc etc.

There is food service with sit-down tables for 60-70 people.

Questions ? I will try to get answers.

Also, They will have beer (and wine?) at the food area. I don't know if they had it before, but this year they will.

Last year they had Nathans Hot Dogs which were not too bad, not those vile anonymous tube steaks of previous years.

The new Convention Center has no carpet (cement floor) and no windows. Oh well. Anyway, it is so close to the former Radisson Hotel and ExPoMart that you could literally throw a stone between the buildings.

SHOW HOURS -Thursday, October 1 - All day setup with a friendly attitude 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM. Non-table holders will be admitted with one year membership.


Friday, October 2 - Dealers 8:00 AM, Public from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
Saturday, October 3 - Dealers 8:00 AM, Public from 9:00 AM untill 5:00 PM.
Sunday, October 4 - 9:00 AM, Break-down day - Not open to the public.

Last I heard, Table holders can get their packs at 3PM Wednesday.

Charter and Life Members who do NOT have a table get in Thursday at 10:00

I past the Convention Center today. There is one electric markee on the side of the building and another larger 'stand-alone' markee on William Penn Highway. Both said --- MAX Militaria
