Can anyone I.d. the signature on this document? Is it a congrats on a marriage and did everyone receive one of these? I looked up the recipient's name Albert Barth on a 37 ss Deinst list and the name appeared w/ss #49042. Also, any idea's about the I.d. of embossed eagle symbol? Thank you for your time & help.

From town of Bad Liebenwerda in the state (Kreis)of Liebenwerda (located in the Sachsen area). Signed and sealed by the leader (landrat) of the area. Albert the ss man and Louise the blushing bride are congratulated by the local party officials.
If you really wanted to you might be able to get the signature id'd by researching who was the landrat (leader) of that Kreis (area) in Oct 1935. My guess is that he would be some brown uniformed party guy with a huge desire to advance himself. Just a guess!
Excuse me but isn't the letter from the Landrat congradulations on the GOLDEN wedding anniversary of the Barth couple, not the marriage. So the Albert Barth you looked up on the 35 SS DAL was married in 1885 and born perhaps in 1865 or so? Kind of up in years for an SS man. Why do you think this Albert Barth was listed on the DAL? Any other evidence?
JWotka- I do not know what this document is for or what it's about as all I could put together was from a modern German to English dictionary and was hoping that someone with better translation skills could maybe give some help in clarifying it. The Albert Barth I found is listed in the 1937 Deinst list and shows his date of birth as 9-23-06 and I do not know if it did belong to this ss officer but thought since the name was the same and the fact that the document list his wifes maiden name maybe it would be worth looking into to confirm this. If in fact this is a document is for a 50th anniversary that would rule out the officer on the 37 list. So your question about isn't it a letter of congrats on a 50th anniversary is one I don't have an answer for but was looking for on this forum. I appreciate your and everyone else's help on this. Dean, I read it as a letter from the local Landrat (County Chief Executive) whose name I believe is Röhrig (according to my 1939 Prussian state handbook) congradulating the couple during the present celebration of their golden wedding anniversary and wishing them heartfelt good wishes from the local adminisration and many more years of happiness.
The seal you asked about is that of Land Preussen (the State of Prussia) that was created by Göring in 1933 with lettering indicating the governmental authority of Kreis Liebenwerda.
