Postwar Confinement:
Captured by Allied troops, ca. 05.1945, then interned in 13 POW camps. He testified as a witness before the International Military Tribunal, Nürnberg, and following his release from Allied custody, changed his name to Schulze-Kossens.

Very interesting Michael. He was a brave and capable officer. I remember seeing him being interviewed for the (I think) World at War series. In his interview he subtly let it be known that, even after the passing of so many years, he still believed in the mission of the Waffen-SS.

Do you know why he changed his last name?
