Hi all

Finally arrived from my contact at NARA:

"Dienstaltersliste der Offiziere der Deutschen Luftwaffe nach dem Stande vom 1. August 1944, Bearbeitet im Luftwaffenpersonalamt, L.Dv. Nr. 2010/1." It includes all active officers of the Luftwaffe as of that date, about 16,000 names in all, indexed. This is in microfilm form at NARA in Wasg DC, and I paid someone to put that ona a CD for me. I´ll be happy to check names in this list for you. This list plus the published 1945 list which I also have, represent a very solid chunk of the total Luftwaffe active officers in the war years. Unlike Heer and KM lists, this Luftwaffe list includes first names. Full name, rank, RDA, and in many cases date of birth are provided.

Hello Gustavo:

A member on another forum is looking for information on a Luftwaffe officer.
Knowing about your level of experience and success in this area, your name immediately came to mind.
I was wondering if you would be willing to employ your expertise in the aid of a fellow collector.
If not, I completely understand.

Best Regards,
Robert

That's very gracious of you sir.
You are a true asset to our hobby.

It's a research project surrounding a personalized dagger.
I'm getting this information second hand, so forgive me if it's a little sketchy.

He was a pilot, probably a Lieutenant, attached to Luftwaffe unit JG-2 named Klaus Neumann.
He was a KC winner who managed to survive the war, and later served in the newly formed German Airforce.
I believe that's about as much as there is to go on.
Anything that you can turn up about him would be appreciated by this gentleman.
Thank you very much in advance for your time and effort, no matter the result.

Best Regards,
Robert

Gustavo,

Would you or anyone else have any info on the following Luftwaffe officer?

Luftwaffe Major Hans-Wolff von Schlutterbach-Nobbe.

Thank you.
