Hi

I find it IMPOSSIBLE to tell the difference between an original and an unoriginal Himmler signature.

I therefore hope the experts here could help me with a comment or two Wink

Thanks !!!

You can't tell from a photocopy as he usually signed in colored pencil, green I think?

Very true, he used an 'autopen'.

These Julleuchter and Julleuchter-candle docs (I do own several period ones of them) signatures usually are not "original" but printed faximiles (NO "autopen" or whatever).
Docs for the degen and the honor-ring (I do also own them) usually are personally signed (personally! also NO autopen as you can see when you own and have handled several of them as you can detect minituous differences in each signature) until the end of the the awardings.
Can you show a photograph of the whole dokument on white background? Does the paper glow under blacklight? This certain oe looks suspicious to me, could be a simple fake photocopy of an original one but my suspicions also might be only due to scan or photograpy/light.

Seem to remember reading somewhere that the dot on the i was a give away of a fake signature on honour daggers believe it was in a post by our Canadian friend Pat

On HHhonor daggers perhaps, but NOT on documents. "Normally" the printed HH varations (yes, there are variations also in the printed signatures)to my best knowledge and experiences always do have the dot, original HH ink signatures are about 1:1 with and without dot. Don´t ask my why but it is a fakt. The engarve signature in the honor rings do have the dot.

Dot or no dot over the "i" doesn't prove originality one way or the other. He signed his name both ways.
