Sorry to say that I do not know much about them, though I am sure I remember a silver version being produced, possibly for officials.

I am sure another member has a far greater knowledge of these than myself

I can only add a little more for you ... I'm fairly certain that Tom Wittmann had one of the more transportable examples that was presented,
hand-engraved and said to have belonged to Julius Streicher. I'm not 100% sure about all the details but you could certainly ask him about it, I'm sure he can tell you quite a bit more in regards your nice example.

No one knows for sure who got these awards. Some think it was a prize for events at the Rally or they were given to VIP's. The design of the badge was done by Hitler. Your example is very unique.
