Hi guys, I want to share with you my newest find - bunch of WHW dug near former manufacture which produced them,... I found also some dies (not exactly for these, but for simple buttons). There are probably thousands and thousands of them, as new owner took everything and filled in a hole in forrest with it...

Hi Paul,

There are no signs of pinback, I suppose these were not finished - no hole was drilled. Very few has rest of color inside the relief...
This Thursday (V-day in CZ) I plan to dig next kilogram of them with my friend. Hope more dies will be there too. I will post more pics if members are interested in it...
I usually do not sell anything I found, but in this case I would make an exception, having a lot of multiple pieces.

Hi me and DJ collect WHW and am sure a few not many pieces would be appreciated for our collections my email oldpat@gmail.com when you get around to it and good luck with the dig. By the way do you know the name of the company which did the manufacture of these types ?

Paul, I will let you know when I dig and clean more.... I wish I could sift all the soil in the hole... some of them are really small, did you notice those small ones? They are 7mm diameter, shield or lion (CZ?) pressed in it..
Visibly some of them are not finnished - there is incomplete horserider etc... Really interesting pieces...
Unfortunatelly I do not know name of the company, sure it was from Gablonz or nearby villages. Will try to research it, one never knows...
I wish I found more there, friends found Minesweeper and Sub badges, bunch of ski event badges (skies and swasticas, cca 5 different patterns)...

Interesting to see, but are they WHW? The shape appears deep. Could they have been I wonder the heads for hat pins? Were glass buttons ever popular?

Jan, could you place a coin or something similar beside them to gauge size?

DJ, most common ones are cca 18mm diameter... smallest ones cca 7mm. I also researched the maker in nearby village, will post later, OK?
