Gentlemen,

I was finally able to buy this pin/stickpin collection from the estate of an old friend who passed away earlier this year. I thought there might be a few unusual items that some of you might find interesting? If there's anything that you find of particular interest let me know and I'll snap some close-ups for you.

The first photo is of "normal-size" stickpins while the second shot is of "mini-size" examples. The third picture is of a mini SS long service award that's all of 9mm in diameter. I don't think I've seen one of these before, are they hard to find? It was hard to photograph ... Big Grin

Best regards!

Bill

Well I'm glad at least it was you that ended up with your friends collection of pins..

Nice group. You have some really nice ones there.. In my neck of the woods at least the SS long service stics are pretty hard to find.

In your 2nd photo,,bottom right,,what exactly is that disc with swastika? Pin attachment on back? any marks? ,, thanks, G.

Next, Smile as you have time. And your indulgence holds out.
This time I used a flashy dot below three pins.

Thank you Bill, interesting pieces. I can't help on the unknowns. Appreciate seeing them up close.

I can imagine you will build one of your beautiful frames for display to honor the memory of your friend.

Fellas,

Thanks for the kind words, my buddy Walter was a first class gentleman who really loved collecting.

Somehow, this little rascal escaped attention. Smile

Cheers!

Jamie,

As per your request. Smile

The pin with the Spange and crossed swords is a regular-size lapel pin and the other what I'd consider to be in the "mini" category.

Has anyone ever seen the sword device
added to a Spange like this before?
First I've seen ... thoughts?

Best!

Bill

Bill, all I can figure is the stickpins with the swords may have had a ribbon pinned behind the devises at some time. Have not yet seen an in wear pic. of these.
