I know this is a very rare badge. Herr Niemann shows one in his badge/medal reference. There is no listing for a mini.

My questions:
Is the manufacturer/maker known for the badge.
Was there a 'mini' made. either a small pin version or a stic pin..

Thanks...,G.

Gaspare,

Deschler & Sohn
München 9

Have never seen a miniature. I would surmise it to be a 57 issue without having seen it.

Wow, yes,,1957. didn't even think of that. No swastika even on the wartime ones..
I'm interested in a ring.
It has proper hallmarks for wartime and looks the part. Here's a photo I'm dealing with Roll Eyes... Its either a custom piece which would be quite impressive or something made from a 'mini'...

Well out of my sphere of knowledge I'm afraid, but it sure looks cute.

Joe I only have a few photos and they aren't good. From them the lettering appears to be gold.
Its also appears to be well made. Has Austrian wartime hallmarks. The emblem appears to be pinned thru onto the ring with 3 pins..

This 1957 business has really put me off on the piece. IF it was a cheapie it'd be worth the chance ,but its not.. I do kind of like it though..

As far as I know wartime lettering was dark, at least on the full size award. Gilt lettering has been attributed to post war.

I did finally run across a mini and a half size with gilt lettering, both presumed to be 57 versions.

Saw a stick pin version on a repro site for under ten dollars. The image was insufficient to make out details though.

Full size repro's are made with the dark lettering.
Some give aways are the flower heads and the attachment method used (bent over wires), and improper pin assemblies.

Thanks Dave for showing it. Even with the repaired pin its a rare and desirable piece.

I've let the ring go. The hallmark it had was a good Austrian silver mark for 1922,,,but it carried all the way up to present!
So between that and there never being a mini made waretime AND the gilt letters its enough to cast enough doubt for me to leave it to someone else...,thanks guys,,G.
