Hello gentlemen,

I am sorry to ask any such oppinon quickly after the last one, but this is the belt buckle I mentioned few posts below... My friend is discussing it with seller and needs to know where the truth is (please do no tell "Truth is out there" ;-).
I newer saw molded BB like this except some web site: http://www.thuringenmilitaria.com/belts.html
and these cannot be found in any previous post (maybe they are lost as many others?)

So, it this one original or not?

Jan

The marking is the quick give away. It reproduces the original Overhoff marking found on SS buckles, not Police buckles. This marking (which is a copy of the original by Overhoff) was once restricted to fake SS buckles but is by now used on a large variety of buckles. Money, money ...

JP, if I understand correctly this round Police belt buckle was NEVER SS marked? Or only Overhoff did not marked them?

Same crap / fake. There was indeed some Police officer buckles which were RZM/SS marked (C.T.Dicke was their maker) but these were different in metal construction. There was also indeed some SS buckles (very rare) made by Overhoff for Wasserschutzpolizei officers (gold color finished) but those were SS buckles (SS officer design) and NOT Police buckles (the above(s) design).
Furthermore, the markings you shown (both buckles) ARE reproduction. The reproduction was indeed based on a legitimate (and widely available) period marking. But even if the reproduction was nicely done there is differences fakers did not notice.
Guaranteed those are fakes.
