my friend dug this Assman belt buckle but we have no idea what is going on..Could you identify it please?

hi,,this likely is a buckle blank,,that is whatever emblem,most likely political/youth,etc,,the center piece emblem would be affixed by tabs to the buckle,,,hope this solves your puzzle,,,robert

I agree.. The 2 holes were for the emblem pins to be pressed thru then soldered..

Robert and G., thanks for both answers... I cannot remember such belt buckle... Maybe you have some tips on pages where could I find it?
If I understand correctly your oppinion is this BB was never finished? Or only lost its affiliation?

,,it was probably finished. But being in the ground all those years the solder probably let go and the insignia is gone...

hello,

yes the buckle was in the origin finisched. it is a typical assmann version of a hitlerjugend buckle. the symbpl of the front side were scraped away... you also can see the rest of the outer circle. two holes were done to fitt whatever symbol were fixed...

it is surely a after war work... to use the buckle in a civil way.
