Can't say I've seen one either, as far as I know they are always marked as there was only one maker of these, FA Helbig. Some pics will help...

Helbig was the only maker of the aluminum fitted DLV dagger.
Thus, your dagger was made by Helbig.
While I do not believe that there were unmarked examples by this maker, it is true that their makers mark was perhaps the most poorly etched (both in quality and depth) of all maker that I have seen.
Your dagger is probably legit, but I would bet money that someone probably wiped the blade of your dagger down with a Klenex at some point. That is about all it takes to wipe this makers mark right off the blade.
This is a common problem for this maker.
All the best,
Johnny

This IMHO is a parts dagger.
Mixed parts some nickel and some aluminum.

Yep, Paul called it, I'd also say its a parts piece. Something happened to the blade given the wavey spine?

Hi! I bought it that way...looks like the blade ha been buffed and lightly sharpèned long time ago, I revised all the blade's surface with a magnifing glass without finding any trace of maker's or other marks. The grip appears to be made in aluminium and blue painted, is this correct? maybe for a late version? I've read only Helbig made this model with aluminium fittings, it means the crossguard, pommel & grip all three in aluminium? Thank in advance

Blade probably had the light etched Helbig TM from an aluminum late period knife.
