Looks OK by your pics, aside from condition. Is the darkening surface rust or worse? I ask because these pieces are out there & you might be able to find another in better condition. Are the presentation panels unengraved?

Hi Billy! yes, the panels are unengraved, I think there's various grades of 'honour' in these prizes beeing the engraved the maximum grade. Is a little 'rusty' but the price is good and I wish to put into my colecction. I put photos of another one that I guess is made yesterday, altough is engraved the bottom fit doesn't look good to me. Thanks for the comments.

Nacho,

If the rust isn't deep & the price is right, why not? Axes are very nice display items IMO although I'll admit, I'm a bit biased Smile

Hi Bill! I get this piece for an affordable price I think...not a bargain but almost. Also I find this other one, a keeper for me. It was dedicated for 50 years of service in 1923 (so long...) the other engraving I read as: Fuhrer Feuerbrigade Eutin, beeing Eutin a town in Northern Germany. Also note there's some little differences between that I think are determnined by his age. Regards.
