thanks and wich model? is this model rare?
|

According to John Angolia's book, it is unattributed.. Very likely Army officer.
Very nice sword! Voos examples are always desirable. As to rarity, I would say scarce.. Mike |

sorry for my bad english, what means unattributed?

No real documentation available stating which branch of service this particular model saber would belong to.
I would say it is Heer (Army officer) The portepee or knott looks like Army.. |

Yes I got it togehter with a Army dagger from Tiger Solingen, they both belonged to same soldier. It was a Major.

That is excellent!
You should always keep them together, don't sell them separately. Also, if I were you, I would put together as much information as I could about the Major that owned these items. Do you think there may be other items available belonging to this person? Congratulations on your find! Mike |

The hilt of your sword appears to be aluminum indicating a later vintage. The early examples were usually gilded brass..
Emil Voos is known for lots of hand enhancing to the many details of their hilts. I'm sure everybody would like to see a couple images of the sword and dagger together. Mike |

you mean I shall post pics from the dagger here`?
|
||||
|
|
|
Images of the dagger alone I would post in the Army dagger section, but the sword and dagger together as a grouping that came from the same Heer Major, I'm sure, would be OK to post here.. If I'm wrong, a moderator will let us know..

I'm sure you will get plenty of interest, if your intention is to sell them.

I agree with MW. I had a dovehead with the identical style crossguard Eagle. The blade on the piece was marked Emil Voos.

The dual National Symbol is uncommon for any make sword.

Very nice Voos indeed. PS- the saber knot is on sort of backward.
Nice none-the-less. __________________________ Army Swords...Lionheads & Doveheads. |
