Does it have anykind of makermark,It looks like an export sword of some kind. You need better pictures.

Nice early Imperial (German) Navy sword.... Nice Early Lion head...1880s Regards: James P.S. Some of the early Imperial Navy swords had a English Navy sword style look to the lion head...

The 1827 half basket British Naval Officer’s sword(s) furnished the inspiration for the German sword. With a number of early British swords actually being manufactured in Germany, with some examples having fairly similar lion heads depending on the era. The British swords also seem to have preferred ray skin covered grips. Nice sword!
