I'm unable to find the photo of the latest Chinese example repro KM sword. There was one listed on fleabay that had sold for around $250 a couple of weaks back. If anyone else had saved the photos, please post them as I cannot seem to find mine.

The piece is still rather crude, and has some of the Chinese characteristics we'd expect to see. I will say however they are a large leap forward from the old and hideous cats with the often backward swas and terrible fake patins and that awful blood groove. Keep an eye out for these.

Clearly not good enough to fool even the newly initiated saber collector, but conversely good enough to fool a collector who has no clue. As I said, the one listed on eBay did sell for nearly $250. I'f im able to locate the photos i'll post them. Please do the same if you have them saved or should come accross them.

On that same note, here's one that popped up recently on ebay. It appears to have very low quality craftsmanship and manufacturing. I'm going to list all the KM repro images I have saved...minus the newest chinese garbage whos photo I seem to have lost.

This piece has been around for awhile. A guy on gunbroker has a couple for sale. His junk is complemented by a slough of fake KM badges, heer, luft, you name it his stuff is bad. He's one of the usual suspects.

Here's another photo of the 2nd repro KM I posted here. In this photo, you can see how the tang was peened to the pommel.

These have been around for a little while like Jim said. I still cannot find the image of the most recent Chinese repro, but when I do i'll post it. Its one I doubt most of us have seen.
