Dave-

They vary that's for sure. Based on the condition of your specimine, and the market curves for demand, i'd think in the $250 range. Condition is incredible, but it's not scarce, and the demand on these has been somewhat low lately. I suspect in that condition, you should be able to move her for that price. To put it in perspective, a guy is selling a nickel EM saber, nearly identical to yours in condition, complete with an etched blade, the plain style etch, and completed with a Police saber/bayo knot (which doesn't belong- however someone could flip the knot for probably $75 or even more). He want's $425, and it's been sitting for sale now going on a year. Factor in the removal and sale of the knot, and the saber runs around $325-$350; not too bad for an etched bladed EM saber. I had thought about the piece but ultimately decided against it since I've been tied up with a variety of saber purchases myself.

Dave-
No worries mate.

Someone else who has been in the market recently can probably give you the best estimate. Today I was discussin etched sabers with another collector on WAF, and it was specifically related to askng prices on dealers sites. There are some pretty wide variances seen from seller to seller, saber to saber. It all just depends. Check the various dealers sites to get an idea of what "dealer" value is.

PS- the saber on gunbroker is pretty nice and I think someone would be pretty happy with it. The seller and I had a tiff as well as my various other saber committments took me out of the running.
Tom
