I have a police Officer's sword, by WKC. I have been told that the knot is fake, which makes me question the rest of the sword. The WKC logo appears to have been double stamped. I will post pictures of the sword itself, as well as the knot (for second opinions).
I understand the knot is (supposedly) SS. And that this is a police sword, meaning it does not belong. but is the knot totally fake?

Here is the knot:

Grip and pommel: Does that look like tool marks on the ridges of the pommel?

Knot is a total fake-It never existed. Sword is OK

Thanks Houston, I'm glad to hear the sword is OK. And I really don't mind that the knot is fake, Since it was the sword I wanted, not the portepee.

The Police sword looks perfectly OK. The Portepee is a fantasy fake.

Well... I see that this fake sword knot is now for sale on ebay as an unknown sword knot. I think it would have been better to at least mention the fact that it is a pure fantasy fake instead of just saying that you don't know anything about it. Tisk, tisk...

And also that I never claim it has any authenticity. It is old. it is a knot.
