Hi Charlie,

The maker of this sword is WKC , pattern Nr. 29A with engraved hilt and cast national emblem.

For the price part, please take a look at the for sale stand for a guide Smile

Cheers,
Ibrahim,
Singapore.

This certain sabre (NOT sword) model was manufactured also by several firms (eg. HÖLLER Mod.30) in (nearly?) identical design and it was something like a "standard" design with eagle.
Your sabre seems to be in a remarkable, unissued looking condition, very desirable and scarce in this condition.
Regards,

The cast/hand worked pieces have to be some of my favorites. It couples the best of both worlds and marries into a wonderful piece of artwork. I have quite of few of the mixed sabers and have to say, I love every one of them.

An exceptionally nice example. I would be remiss, however, to not mention the fact that while saber (or säbel) is more technically correct. Even the Germans on occasion used the more generic term sword (schwert) when it suited them (such as the Fliegerschwert). FP

GRaeme,
Did you grab this one? Nice score if you did. She would make a wonderful addition to a collection, and would likewise make a wonderful representative example for a non-saber collector.
