The fascination about collecting hunting forestry daggers are the many different types of clam shells that bring about some of the stories of how they are used and sometimes the time periods they came from. I have no knowledge of these two classes of Roe
Buck clam shell pieces except on the one blade there is a stamped impression that has the word JAGERS used in the inscription. The reverse side has a beautiful layout of running roebuck doe deer with one buck. It is stamped PAUL WEYERSBEERG & CO. SOLINGEN and is also double stamped with a king’s crowned head and the number 207. The scabbard is also stamped 207 at the top. This piece with the others shown here all have normal wear of being used but they are in well kept condition. The second blade is thinner and is marked Alcoa A C S SOLINGEN and is also double stamped with a king’s Crowned head and the number 44. The scabbard is also stamped 44 with the crowned head.

Wow, there's some rare pieces in that lot, these are very difficult to find especially the Eickhorn pieces.
Ralph, you never cease to amaze me with your astounding collection.

Cheers
