A 500 year anniversary piece awarded in 1937, my all time favourite but an absolute nightmare to picture.

For whats left of the blade at the tip and riccasso it has a large roses etched damascus blade. The fittings are of course all gilded, the leather is a very dark green.

Gary,

Absolutely stunning piece. It's always nice to see something that an advanced collector says is his personal favorite. The workmanship of this item is very obvious from your pictures & this piece seems to have it all, quality, a beautifully etched blade dedicated to a single event & an incredible amount of remaining gilting. And if it didn't have enough to make collectors swoon over, a rosebud damast blade. It's easy to see how tough it must be to get all of these details although I think you did a very good job of capturing it.

I remember seeing this piece previously, maybe 9 or 10 years ago. How long have you had it?

Thanks guys, it means a lot that other like minded and experienced collectors can appreciate this piece, it's better in person.
Billy,
I've had it now close on ten years, I did post it just after I bought it but my photography skills were not up to much then.
Paul,
your more than welcome to come over for a visit the next time your in town, you'll always be welcome.
