I need a knot for my Hirschfanger. Can anyone help me with a description or picture of the correct one to go with my dagger? [pictures of it is in last topic] Thanks for all help/comments received and about to receive. Quick

Here is a third type that belongs to a another collector. It came on his beautiful C+J dagger. I hope Aaron wont't mind me showing her off.

Maybe Gary or Houston can help me recall what the diference is between these three types.

The one shown by Eric is a variation of the member's knot. Why it is different is not known. There is also a variation like this of the Professional Hunters knot. Perhaps they indicate a higher or lower rank. We have been unable to locate any period reference to the Hunting Assn. Uniforms. This information should be out there but we can't find it anywhere.

Gary that Professional Hunters knot is one beauty.Wish I could find one TW had one a couple of yrs.ago but by the time I received the catalog it was gone.TJ also had one but again I missed it.It sure makes the dagger look good on it or next to it. Cool

Ed, This is the one from TJ, I just had to have it, I haven't the heart to put it on a hirschfänger, I had it cased and hung it on my wall.
