Early short
HIRSCHFANGER Sharkskin grips with matching skinning knife. A very beautiful old Hirschfanger. The blade is plain but very stout. The thickness is wide as is the skinning knife. There has never been any etching on the blade. The blade is 14 and three quarters inches long. Large acorn on the scabbard. The Clamshell has three hounds attacking a boar. ![]() |

The skinning knife is a showpiece as it has a thick blade and was made to go with this Hirschfanger.

If someone has a special way to clean the light sharkskin grips I would like to bring them back to life. I have been afraid to touch them so far.

Hubertus, Wow!
Absolutely an exceptional and stunning piece to gaze at. Thanks for the look see. |

I use Propert's Reptile Cleaner & Conditioner on my exotic boots and have used it on the ray and sharkskin on my Asian edged weapons. Found in cowboy boot stores.
