Here's a nice Eickhorn 1212, a tough pattern to find, this piece just in from Germany is in totally untouched condition, I doubt the blade has been pulled more than a couple times, the gilt is 100% and is as thick as treacle.
It's a piece awarded:

To the Best Student for the school-year 1936/37
in the Forestry School of Miltenberg
(from) the State Farming Community of
Bavaria.

It's all about the meaning of the inscription, to be awarded such a beautiful gift as a result of all the hard work he must have put in over that year, thats very special to me.
