Might not be a repro at all, a lot of these eagles/swastika's were poorly cast.
We would need to see more of the hirschfänger to be sure.

Doesn't look like a repro to me. Would need to see the TM and the back edge of the blade to be sure.

Im comparing to Whitmans, he has one on his site,and the swazy isnt a depressed type its a reliefed type ,anyway I think thats what its called, but much different and the patinaes match much better.Also the engraving is much better. There are no pictures or mention of a MM. Roll Eyes

Looks like a Holler to me,if it's unmarked it's likely to be good and not a repro. Condition doesn't look great but these are rare.
There's a good thread on these showing a very similar piece.

Wow, thats not a very proud eagle. So Holler made very easily shortcut detailed swaticas in there hilts on that particular dag.Every other example Ive dug up has a nice looking swaz not a cheap looking engraved rounded swaz.Any examples would be great....Houston , I cant seem to get to your free guide...excuse my computer illiteracy. Tiep

These Hollers are late pieces with aluminum alloy hilts. The gold wash/plate was thin and most examples have lifting and quite a lot of loss of this material. This one looks to have been touched up with dull gold paint of some type. The paint together with the lifting makes the detail look worse than it originally was--and the detail was never all that great, Still-a rare piece.
