These Eickhorns with etched trademarks are considered to be post-war. Same as the forestry and hunting pieces. I suggest a few good reference books. You might consider developing a good relationship with a dealer. For new collectors they will save you heartache and start you off in the right direction with advice.

The good news Alex is that you found out before sending $. There is a large group of collectors in Canada and at least 2 in your Postal Code. Good luck in the hobby sir!
SSMan, even reputable dealers make errors. Trust me I've made my share. The good news is that if he truly is reputable he will make this right!! That's why people buy from dealers so they can sleep well at night.

That series of SA pics is from an old E-bay auction..that 'Pawel' is one nervy S.O.B

He just does not give up.He also reads these threads.

This guy is a menace and a threat to the credibility of the collecting community. He needs to stop or be stopped.Unfortunately with crime being as lucrative as it is over the internet, it will be the latter i am afraid.

Paul. I bought this dagger about a year and a half ago and I traded it to someone else so I will contact that person and see if he still has it? I guess the old saying you learn something new everyday is fitting!

Yes, I expect you will have no problems. I know all the big guys and I believe you will be treated right.
I recently returned something bought 15 years ago with no problem.
Try that on Ebay!!
Have a great Christmas!
Paul
