looks to be an early attempt at a reproduction,,,grip is way to fat,many details not quite as defined on the originals,,,blade might could pass as authentic,but makers logo too fuzzy in the pic,,,my 2 cents,,,should look more like this,,,i have used someone else's picture,,,i dont know whose it was,so please forgive the purloining of it,used in the educational sense of this posting,,,,i used it as an example of what one should be like,,,thanks to the poster/owner of this pic,,,robert

Sorry Al--but that is a VERY bad fake. Nothing like the original at all. I would suggest investment in some reference books.

Aleksandr..please..invest in some good reference books, or ask questions here before purchasing items that are expensive enough that the bad ones hurt!

Try to find 'Reproduction? Recognition!' by Frederick J. Stephens

This will save you a lot of headaches..also invest in 'Collecting the edged weapons of the Third Reich' this a really good multi volume series..
