My Father brought this back from WW-II (have papers)

His papers list it as a dagger but I'm not sure what it is and would like to identify it and get an approximate value for insurance purposes.

The handle has a ball on the end with the Swastika and appears to have some king of thred wound in the knurls.
The sheath has the eagle holding the Swastika.
No further markings that I can see.
Apologies in advance if I didn't post this right and thank you in advance or your help

You have a second model luftwaffe dagger. Little tough to put an exact value on it unless you can get some nice clear pictures. As with most things, condition is everything. However, take a look on the blade near the crossguard and see if you can find any type of makers mark.
Good luck!

It looks like a miniature to me.

Never argue with an idiot, he will only drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

You're right. That's a pretty shabby photo.
I'll take another one. There is no makers mark that I can find.

The second model Luftwaffe dagger was introduced in 1937. So(IMO)I would say from '37 to about '41.
