I have a Germam dagger and have a few questions. I hope this is the right place for it. I have researched as well as I am able to and have only found a few things out. First, I know this dagger is German. I recieved it from my grandfather when I was young, and now it no longer with us to answer any of my questions. I have discovered that the maker is F.A. Kirschbaum Solingen and Co. There is an inscription "Nrh" on the crossguard. Along with the eagle wreath emblem on the handle. From what I can find, it is most similar to a Ground Röhm NSKK Dagger. Only it's not a Carl Eickhorn logo. If anyone knows anything about this, please let me know! Thanks!
It sounds like an SA or NSKK depending on the colour of the scabbard. Try posting in the SA section in the edged weapons forum, you will be asked to post pictures, as giving an opinion on a description alone is nigh on impossible. What does the inscription say on the blade?.
Hi , Degens is quite right. Post as many close up pictures as you can in the SA/NSKK forum and we can tell you exactly what you have. Best wishes Ian and Wendy
Within the next few days we'll try to get some pictures on. Thanks so much for your response...the blade says "alles fur Deutchland". The color of the scabbard is black. But like I said, I'll get some pictures up soon!
